Location:  Ski Denton at Denton Hill State Park

Route 6 between Galeton and Coudersport, Pennsylvania

Course:  50 MILE ONE LAP COURSE

The course starts at the Ski Denton Lodge.  Ski Denton operates lift-serviced downhill and cross-country mountain biking on over 50 miles of trails during the summer and fall.  Ski Denton operates as a concessionaire on Denton Hill State Park, and has been granted access for activities on the surrounding State Forest Lands.  DCNR has been a great supporter of mountain bike development in the area.

You will climb from the valley on trail and singletrack to the top of the mountain, about 700 feet.  From here you will take a rolling singletrack ride connecting to a forest service road.  Take this opportunity to stretch your legs before connecting to more rolling singletrack “Billy Lewis Trail” on top of the Denton Hill Summit.  The southern portion of the course will be on service road (Rock Run and Long Toe Roads) and snowmobile trail for about 15 miles including.  Retrun to the Denton Hill Summit will utilize the favorite portion of singletrack from last year’s race.  This section of singletrack riding will rise and fall twice before a final climb back up of about 500 feet utilizing Thompson Hollow forest service road.  Single and Double track will bring you back through a portion of Ski Denton’s lift service trail system back to the Denton Hill Summit.  The final portion of the course will be on the west side of route 6 on DCNR joint use trails.  The final descent will be on one the area’s great singletracks (Commissioner Hollow) dropping 700 feet in two and a half miles back to the ski lodge.  Lap distance 50 miles
